IFTA Filing & Reporting Assistance

Spend more time running your trucking business and less time sorting quarterly fuel-tax paperwork. YourDOTNeeds provides IFTA filing and reporting assistance based on your records and base-jurisdiction requirements.

Prepare for your quarterly report

  • Identify the reporting quarter and your IFTA base jurisdiction.
  • Gather total miles and jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction mileage, including the required taxable and non-taxable details.
  • Gather fuel purchases, gallons, receipts, and tax-paid fuel details by jurisdiction.
  • Provide vehicle information and any notices or prior-quarter issues that need attention.

When are IFTA reports due?

Quarterly reports are generally due April 30, July 31, October 31, and January 31 for the preceding quarter. Texas moves a due date falling on a weekend or legal holiday to the next business day. Confirm the applicable deadline with your base jurisdiction. See the Texas Comptroller’s IFTA guidance.

Do I need to file if I did not operate?

Texas IFTA licensees must file a quarterly report even when there was no operation or taxable fuel purchase during the quarter. Tell us about a zero-activity quarter so we can help determine the correct filing steps.

Get organized before the deadline

Tell us your quarter, base jurisdiction, and number of vehicles. We will review the service scope and quote before starting. Also need annual registration support? See UCR registration assistance.
